Obama to travel to Oslo to accept Nobel Peace Prize

Robert Gibbs announced in a briefing that President Obama would go to Oslo, Norway to personally accept his Nobel Peace Prize.

The question is; Will Mr. Obama travel to Oslo on the taxpayer’s dime to accept a check for his own personal gain? Will Michelle fly a day or two ahead to tour and shop in Oslo on the taxpayer’s dime?

God forbid G.W. Bush would be jet setting to Oslo to accept an award. Then again, that would never happen, a Republican gaining such recognition. Reagan is very deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize for his policies that brought down the Soviet Union, but his accomplishments are ignored. I digress.

Obama was in office just 10 days when the Nobel nomination deadline arrived. Who would have imagined such leadership and greatness in such a short span of time?

Still, one would think that Obama would pay for his own travel expenses to Oslo to accept his cash reward. After all, the trip will be for Mr. Obama’s own personal gain and enrichment.

The best thing Mr. Obama could do is to send a representative to Oslo to bag his prize. It would be easier on the taxpayer's pocketbook. Better yet, Mr. Obama could show a touch of class and just turn the honor down. The fact of the matter is, there are more deserving and more accomplished people who should be given the Nobel Peace Prize.

History will record that Mr. Obama was just a community organizer from Chicago who lacked the experience to lead the free world. History will note that Mr. Obama merely presided over a mediocre presidency that was on par or less than that of Jimmy Carter’s term in office. Ultimately, it will be shown that Mr. Obama will never have been deserving of such an honor.

If anything, Mr. Obama should have been nominated for an Oscar, not a Nobel Peace Prize for his performance as one who unapologetically loves his country, its principles and its Constitution. That performance has been more believable to the leftard lemmings that fawn over Mr. Obama, than has been the performance of acting as a great political leader and peacemaker. Then again, I may be wrong. It is those leftist lemmings who think Mr. Obama is deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize, even if he has accomplished nothing to get the prize.

When Mr. Obama wraps up his campaign and photo op stop in Oslo, perhaps he can return to the United States to engage in the work of the American People. He might consider endorsing his Nobel Peace Prize check over to the U.S. Treasury to reimburse the American people for his travel expenses, meals, lodging and Secret Service protection.

Holy...Cow...Alright, at least have the respect in the office to refer to him as President Obama? You may disagree with the current democratic platform and thats fine and all, but he is still the President of the United States of America. By disrespecting an elected president like that you damage the image of the Office of the Presidency.

Groove, spare us your righteous indignation. For eight years we heard President Reagan referred to as Mr. Reagan by his detractors. For four years we heard President Bush refered to as Mr. Bush by his critics. For eight years we heard President Bush referred to as Mr. Bush by his opponents. Many of those who used "Mr." to refer to our Republican presidents were quite vocal in their opposition to those presidents. They made no bones aout it to make it abundantly clear that those presidents were not their presidents. The left was fine with that.

Now that the tables are turned, the leftards take exception with their perceived disrespect for the current man in the White House by his oppoents when he is called Mr., and not President Obama. How double standard of you!

Now that I refer to Obama as Mr., it is seen as being disrespectful? Hey, at least I am referrign to him as Mr. and not Chairman Obama.

Where is it written that I am required to respect a man who occupies the office of the POTUS?You want me to show respect to a man who surrounds himself with advisors and czars who are socialists, anti-Constitutionalists and anything anti-traditional family? Nonesense!

Sorry, I'm afraid You'll have to endure three more years of those who oppose Mr. Obama's policies, philosophes and ideologies as they address him as Mr. and not as President Obama. That will end soo enough, Obama is a one term president, and He's YOUR president! To me he'll always lovingly be referred to as "Mr." Obama.

Finally, I'd like to point out the obvious. Since I am not the president, I am unable to damage the image of the office of the presidency. It isn't the opponents of Mr. Obama who are damaging the the office of the presidency. We can leave that up to he who actually occupies the office of the POTUS.

Like Bill Clinton cheapened and disgraced the office of the POTUS by having liaisons in the Ovsl Office with his girlfriend, Ms. Lewinsky, we'll simply sit back and watch the ineptitude of Mr. Obama as he damages the image of the office of the POTUS through his incompetence, lack of leadership ability and experience.

He's your President now. How does it feel to be in defense of the indefensible?

Well stated Mighty Righty!
I am so tired of the double standard libtards always have when they are being questioned or their FEELINGS are involved.
And as for Mr Obama well he hasn't earned any title as of this date!
